I’m from IS. there are projects that are very demanding bcos of how much we have to code and the short time frame. Plus we are all busy. Can we not jump to the conclusions that this/that team member is a snake? This is my personal experience. I was in a coding heavy project and only did a little.there were 3 other members in the team with me. 2 of them were friends. I did not code a lot but at the same time, I was not a free loader who did not do anything. This why peer evaluation exists to even stuff like this out. During the project, there was no proper allocation of work we just did what we could and put it into github . Not once, did the 2 of them ever request for help or assign anything to others. When we met in class for lessons, sometimes they would very briefly mention what they have done. Though I did little, I did contribute and it’s not like there was no difference if I was in the team or not. Regardless, the project was completed and submitted on time, there were no issues. After the project presentation was done, peer evaluation was done, the 2 team members were really mad at me..??? Especially one of them would give the dirtiest looks and she would be rly pissed if I was around her. She thinks that I was a snake and marked her down badly for peer evaluation and that I used her for the project. What?? Was the peer evaluation results ever shown? From what I recall, no. Did I free load and not contribute? No. I coded my part and put it onto GitHub. If you have a problem, please bring it up during the project in a proper manner and not be bitter after eveything has ended. Also, don’t jump to conclusions that someone is using you, it’s very arrogant and condescending. Like “I’m so amazing and smart, this idiot has to use me for the project”. There are times when I hard carry the team for big projects and times when I contribute a little. I think this applies to lots of other students as well. We are adults so please behave like one.
