#12479: I'm dating a red flag?

So I'm 12 and I'm dating my classmate. We are both shy so we don't rlly talk to each other most of the time our friends will find a way to put me and him together. And since his results are kinda average and gets scolded a lot in class my friends all say he's a red flag. Once he left me on read for a week and on delivered for more than a week. Even though I still like him it doesn't seem like he likes me even my friends agree. Should I continue to date him or break up?
