This is a message for the boss of Grab (or whoever in charge of the fee structure of the autonomous shuttle): Hi Boss of Grab, For our region, Grab has definitely made our lives easier. Ordering food and grocery via Grab has become almost a daily habit. We love Grab in general. However, just today, I read on the fee introduced for your autonomous shuttle in PDD and felt very very slightly unhappy about it. And let me tell you why. Yup, as you might have already known, more than 90% of those in Punggol feel that the fee definitely needs some adjustments. For your information, this area is already very well accessible by public transports due to all the recent hardwork by our MP Ms. Sun Xueling. Not only that, most of our residents here are car owners (of whom some are Grab drivers too). Besides, we are also already blessed with a very well accessible PCN which means that residents today can easily cycle to those destinations (the most environmentally-friendly mode of transport). Looking at it, all alternative modes of transportation cost much lesser than 50% of your fee proposed for the autonomous ride, which makes the option to take the autonomous vehicles sound like a rather foolish choice. 😆 Don't you agree? Why not then... make it 2-3 dollars per ride? Either that, or 敢敢 make it a premium mode of transport at 6 dollars per ride. (We Singaporeans really like lucky numbers you know!) Of course, senior citizens get half price hopefully, and parents with very young children like baby or toddler get bundle price (that would be the best), since these people are most likely the ones who need the service if they do not already own a car. In addition, those taking round trip gets additional one or two dollars off. Frequent users get some rewards in terms of Grab points which can be redeemed for Grabfood purchases, etc. Do consider about our suggestions on a viable fee structure.
