Hello. I am just posting here to ask for opinion. I am an arts/humanities student from NUS who took CS1010J out of desperation to clear my Digital Literacy requirement so that I don't end up retaining just to clear this pillar of the General Education curriculum (Context: I'm in Year 4 now, and have tried bidding for other GEI courses, all of which I couldn't secure for many past semesters now) It has just been week 1 and the lectures seem way too fast-paced for me, as someone who has not even a single clue of what programming means, let alone Java (which is the language taught in CS1010J). I watched the Week 1 lecture and I'm so very lost and I have no clue as to what the Prof is going on and on about as this is perhaps the first time I've seen Java in real life. I heard this course is not graded on a bell-curve, so I wanted to ask here if any CS major can advise on the likelihood of someone like me passing this course. (I do not have any hopes for this course; just hoping to scrape a D and S/U it.)
