My boyfriend and I play games together almost everyday. I am not very good, but not that bad either. As a professional gamer, my boyfriend tends to scold me a lot and express his disappointment when I make a “stupid” move or play, or when I died in the game. However, for me, it didn’t really matter if we lose as I just want to enjoy the process of playing game with him. We had argued over this issue countless times, and I now dread playing games with him. Recently, a new friend that I met in school played the same game. We played together a lot and he seems to be quite nice about it and not get angry when I die. He always ask me to try again and don’t give up when we lost. I enjoy playing the game with him because I am genuinely having fun and didn’t have to worry about making mistakes and getting scolded. I look forward to playing game with this new friend that I made. Is this normal? Is that cheating in anyway or am I making any mistake? I genuinely just wanted to play a game for fun and there are no feelings involved but I don’t know why I felt so bad about it…
