Y2 CS student here who doesn't have really good grades/past internship experiences. Landing my first internship was difficult, and it's really a catch-22 situation - I can't land an internship because I don't have past internship experience. Fortunately, I found a company that was willing to give me a chance. It didn't come easy for me. It took me around half a year to build up a decent enough portfolio. I did several udemy courses to learn full-stack development (react and nodejs) and did 2 web dev side projects which I deployed and linked to in my resume. Many, many internship applications later on glints/internsg, I finally landed an offer. Even though it is not FAANG/HFTs (unlike many people here), I'm just glad that my hard work paid off. We all have to start somewhere right? im so exciteddd
