Hi, should I take CS3217 if I am probably not going to do iOS development in the near future? From a previous poll I see that most people do recommend taking CS3216 + CS3217 over CS3203. Why is that the case?

    The matter is whether you can even get in in the first place. If you can, then you are not there to learn iOS dev but other stuff.

    Just like an intro programming module where you learn the fundamentals of programming and basic algorithms, CS3217 teaches you Software Engineering and iOS is the medium in which you're taught.
